SPACE Group for Parents & Caregivers

Meets virtually on Thursdays from 12pm to 1pm

Please email Dipali Bharadwaj to get started!

SPACE stands for supportive parenting for anxious childhood emotions and is an evidence-based approach that helps caregivers of children and teens with anxiety, OCD, and related concerns by focusing on reducing accommodation and increasing supportive responses.

The group begins on Thursday, September 11th and is 8 weeks long. This group will help parents reduce accommodation behaviors that reinforce anxiety, communicate supportively while setting clear boundaries, manage their own emotional responses, and increase consistency, promoting long-term independence and resilience in their children. The child would not attend this group as this model relies entirely on parent change to support symptom reduction in the child. This group will be led by Mallory Bizeau, LCSW. This group accepts the following insurances: BCBS PPO, Aetna PPO, and United Healthcare/Optum.
