RO-DBT skills classes are designed using Dr. Thomas Lynch’s Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO-DBT) treatment protocol. RO-DBT is a “new” evidence-based treatment with over 20 years of clinical research. RO-DBT is designed to treat disorders of overcontrol, including diagnoses of treatment-resistant depression and anxiety, anorexia, obsessive-compulsive personality disorder, and autism.

Skills classes are designed for those who struggle with emotional loneliness and have a hard time connecting with others, avoid risks and new experiences, and struggle to relax. Classes teach participants skills to increase receptivity and openness, flexibility, and social connectedness-the three core components of emotional well-being.

The class consists of 30 core skills lessons, and each lesson is aimed at new skill building in relation to a different part of overcontrolled coping (such as understanding emotions and how they help us, enhancing openness and flexibility, and enhancing interpersonal relationships).
