Pauline Mainou
Hi, my name is Pauline Mainou and I use she/her pronouns. I am bilingual, providing services in both English and Spanish. I obtained my Bachelor’s in Psychology from San Diego State University and graduated from Roosevelt University with a Master’s in Clinical
Psychology with Counseling Practice. I have worked for several years with diverse populations experiencing depression, anxiety, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, identity development, immigration difficulties, and interpersonal problems. I have a strong background working with children, adolescents, and young adults. Going to therapy for the first time or with a new counselor can be daunting.
Therefore, I strive to create a non-judgmental space that allows my clients to feel safe and emotionally supported. I try to meet each individual where they are at and incorporate a bit of humor into the sessions to fortify the therapeutic relationship.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with friends and family, playing tennis, watching international films, and trying new restaurants. I also love to travel and get to know different cultures.
