Nisha Patel, LCSW (She/her)
Staff Therapist
Welcome to a journey of self-discovery, healing, and growth. I am Nisha Patel, a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker with three years of experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and discover their inner strengths. I aim to create a safe and nurturing space where you can openly explore your thoughts, feelings, and relationships. Taking the first step towards seeking therapy can be challenging, but it is also a courageous one. I look forward to being a part of your transformative journey.
Before joining DASC, my professional journey led me to serve as a dedicated School Social Worker within K-12 public school districts. Throughout this experience, my role focused on providing essential support and guidance to students within the educational setting. I addressed various challenges, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, eating disorders, ADHD, stress management, navigating relationships, family conflicts, bullying, grief, and loss. With my scope of practice extending beyond the school system, I have also broadened my therapeutic services to encompass adults in need.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, as I firmly believe in tailoring therapy to each individual’s unique needs. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) techniques to provide a comprehensive and effective therapeutic experience.
