Kyla Kachman, LCSW (She/her)
Co-Director of Anxiety Disorders and OCD Program
Hello! My name is Kyla Kachman. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I graduated with my masters degree from University of Chicago in 2013.
Before attending graduate school, I became interested in mental health while serving as a Peace Corps volunteer and working with homeless youth in my home state of Missouri. Immediately after graduation, I spent several years in community mental health settings around the Chicago area. I then started working for a hospital’s outpatient department where I provided individual psychotherapy for seven years before moving to DASC in 2023.
While I see all adults 18+, I specialize in working with young adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, panic, ADHD, and insomnia. My primary modality for treatment is cognitive behavioral therapy. I am currently certified in CBT for Insomnia and am also working towards becoming a certified ADHD Clinical Services Provider. I am also currently completing a 9 month fellowship in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) at the University of Chicago. By integrating more ACT into my work, I hope to help clients focus on mindfulness, values, and acceptance in their lives.
Insurance accepted: BCBS PPO, Aetna PPO, United/Optum, Medicare, Sliding Scale when Applicable
