Chantelle Roulston, B.A.

Hello, my name is Chantelle Roulston, and I am a third-year doctoral student in clinical psychology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Prior to beginning my doctorate, I earned my bachelor of arts degree in Psychology and Sociology from Stony Brook University.

I am passionate about creating a safe therapeutic environment in which individuals battling mental health challenges can be honest, curious, and empowered to explore their experiences and move closer towards their personal goals.

I believe that therapy is most effective when we approach each individual with a deep understanding of their unique story. The environments we inhabit, the experiences that have shaped us, and the circumstances that lead us to therapy are all critical pieces of who we are. I am dedicated to providing a therapeutic space where each person feels seen, heard, and understood within the context of their own unique journey.

Beyond individual therapy, I am passionate about supporting underserved communities through my research. I believe that everyone deserves access to quality mental health care, and I am committed to using my skills and knowledge to help ameliorate commonly experienced barriers to mental health care.

Clinically, I have worked with adults from various backgrounds with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder, difficulties in interpersonal relationships, and difficulties with self-criticism. I utilize a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, namely Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help meet the needs of individuals experiencing mental health difficulties. I am intentional about tailoring treatment approaches to meet each individual client’s needs.
