Caitlin Lurigio, LSW (She/her)

Education Coordinator

Hello and thank you for taking a moment to read about me. My approach to therapy incorporates openness and empathy to help clients identify their goals and areas in their life where they need support. I utilize a strengths-based approach to highlight clients’ unique background to tailor therapy to their specific needs. My approach is to work as a team and strive for clients to feel heard, respected and listened to.

I have experience working with adolescents in a school setting who are battling depression, anxiety, grief, and low self-esteem. I have also worked with adults in a community mental health setting who are struggling with trauma, OCD, depression and anxiety.

In our work together, I would utilize evidence-based approaches such as CBT and DBT as well as motivational interviewing as a tool for communication. I am committed to furthering my education and training here at DASC. In my personal and professional life, I am dedicated to furthering racial justice as well as providing space which affirms LGBTQIA+ identities.

More about me:

Some of my interests outside of work include cooking for friends and family and hosting (yay for being able to do that again!). I love caring for my beautiful senior German Shepherd pup who is as loyal as they come. Some of my favorite shows include the Great British Bake-off, The View and stand up comedy specials on Netflix. I do enjoy working out, although inconsistently.
