Chynna Mills, B.S. (she/her)

Hi, my name is Chynna! I am a 3rd year doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology PhD program at Northwestern’s Feinberg School of Medicine. I also have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Africana Studies from Xavier University of Louisiana.

I am passionate about bringing a comprehensive and empathetic approach to therapy while helping my clients meet their goals. I believe that it is important to understand the whole person, considering their upbringing, environment, culture and personal experiences to have the most effective treatment.

I have worked with adults of various racial and ethnic backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, genders and sexual orientations. I have experience supporting people with depression, anxiety, borderline personality disorder, ADHD, race related stress, housing instability, food insecurity, chronic illness and complex trauma.

I incorporate a tailored mix of psychodynamic orientated therapy and evidence-based treatments such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to serve the needs of my clients.

In my free time, I enjoy trying new restaurants in the Chicagoland area and finding the best rooftops in the city!

Feel free to reach out and connect with me. I look forward to getting started!
