Evelyn Padilla
Hello, my name is Evelyn Padilla. I received my master’s degree in counseling psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Prior to this, I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in history from the University of Illinois at Chicago. As a part of my graduate school education, I had the opportunity to intern at Between Friends, a non-profit dedicated to providing services for those impacted by domestic violence. I provided individual, family, and group counseling in both English and Spanish during my time there.
Providing trauma-informed and person-centered counseling is of the utmost importance to me. I enjoy utilizing various techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), but I am comfortable pulling from other modalities if they fit the client’s needs better. I am passionate about collaborating with clients throughout their counseling to ensure they feel empowered during our time together.
During my free time, I enjoy watching movies, spending time in nature and with my loved ones, and going to concerts.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope we can connect soon!
