Top Values: Compassion, Humor, Balance, Industry, Consistency
My name is Jenna Schloss and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at the Depression and Anxiety Specialty Clinic of Chicago. I received my undergraduate degree in Sociology from Tulane University in New Orleans and then went on to pursue a Master’s degree in Social Work at Loyola University Chicago.
I have experience working in a variety of settings, including a behavioral health hospital, public schools, and non-profit agencies. The majority of my current and past work has included providing individual and group therapy, as well as case management. I am passionate about treating mood and anxiety disorders, such as generalized anxiety disorder, OCD, and health anxiety, as well as working with individuals with eating disorders and those experiencing life transitions.
At DASC, I have had the opportunity to receive ongoing weekly training and consultation in several evidence-based treatment modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). I utilize these approaches as a foundation for treatment, and tailor my approach to the individual needs and goals of each client. In addition, all of my work with clients incorporates mindfulness, warmth, trust, and humor.
I spend most of my time outside of work exploring my neighborhood via long walks, trying out new restaurants across the city (especially spicy dishes!) and giving belly rubs to my rescue dog, Maddie. I also love seeing live stand-up comedy – in pre-global pandemic times of course!
