Galina Lipkin is a Licensed Professional Counselor and staff therapist completing advanced training in evidence-based treatments at the Depression and Anxiety Specialty Clinic of Chicago. Galina is also board certified through the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC). Ms. Lipkin earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology from Lake Forest College and her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northeastern Illinois University. She completed her clinical internship as a crisis worker and outpatient therapist at Kenneth Young Center and has since worked with children and adolescents in a variety of settings including community mental health, group practice, and inpatient care. In order to help her clients progress toward wellness, Ms. Lipkin uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Ms. Lipkin uses these approaches to address concerns related to OCD, anxiety, depression, and mental health concerns related to chronic health issues.
Ms. Lipkin has presented at local and national conferences, is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF), and has co-authored studies in national counseling journals.
